Christopher at three weeks

My parents and younger brother Tommy came to visit us last week for one week. We had a good time; plenty of rest but also some activity. We drove up north to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park for two days. Christopher came with us, so this was his first road trip. He was quite good, pretty much slept the entire time in the car. Here are some photos of our road trip:

Poor kid. We often try to hold up his head, but this is what happens when one of us cannot hold him up.

It's so amazing how fast they change when they are so little - he's already got much more definition in his facial features and expressions! What a cutie :)

We had the same problem with the carseat. What we found to work well was to roll up a recieving blanket and make another layer of the headrest. Sort of like and upside down "U" shape that his head fit right into. The other thing that you can try is stuffing a towel or soemting under the carseat to make it lay back a little bit. Just a couple of thoughts! Glad to hear that everything is going well - he's so cute!

We did the towel under the carseat thing to make it lay back further as well. It actually recommended it in the manual, so I think it's safe.

Your pics are adoreable! They are so sincere, it's so sweet. I'm sure Christopher will love looking through them when he's older!

LOL.. I just noticed that mom is holding him "lefty-style."

I love the picture of you and Christopher where you're smiling. In the picture of Fonsi and Christopher, is he smiling at his daddy? :)

Grandpa looks pretty happy holding a little one. Heck, even Chico looks happy.

It's hard to say if he was smiling or not. He may've been grunting; he does that a lot. He sounds like a little dinosaur. But he does smile, and it's not when he is peeing, pooping or having gas. He will smile when he hasn't seen me for a little bit or when he is just waking up from a nap.

We had so much fun, it was great to bring pictures to work with me and show him off. I temporarily taped them to brown posterboard and stuck the posterboard to the wall above my medication cabinet. Everyone says he looks like such a wonderful baby (which he is) I miss all of you and look forward to having you home. Love MOM
